Who we are
neonotu is a cybersecurity company based in Munich, certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. We test infrastructures, defend them and investigate incidents forensically. Five products have grown out of that work: Sightadel for compliance, veyrisk for the attack surface, Strider for monitoring, orovar for autonomous response and Valar for the perimeter. They are operated in Germany, and the contracting party is neonotu GmbH — itself the parent company, not a subsidiary of a group outside Europe.
How an account comes about
Accounts are granted personally and only after a review — no form creates one here. The way starts with the investor enquiry: you answer once, in detail, who is investing, where the capital comes from and what you have in mind. With complete answers we usually reply within five working days.
What we have to settle first
Two things cannot be renegotiated later, which is why we raise them first.
First, the origin of the capital. We are bound by the sanctions law of the European Union and the United Nations. We cannot accept capital linked to Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea or Syria — not even indirectly through beneficial owners or interposed entities. That is why we ask about domicile, tax residence, source of funds and beneficial owners from 25 per cent.
Second, the investment review. As an IT security company we fall under the sector-specific review under §§ 60 ff. of the German Foreign Trade Regulation. If a non-EU investor acquires ten per cent of the voting rights or more, this must be notified to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and is reviewed. That is not a reason to decline — it is a procedure with deadlines, and it belongs in the schedule from the outset rather than in the week before signing.
What interests us
Money alone is rarely the bottleneck. What interests us is what arrives alongside the capital: access to customers, a sales network, experience with international expansion, staying power for follow-on rounds. We ask just as openly about your expectations regarding say and reporting. A shareholding where each side expects something different is more expensive than none at all.

Investor enquiry
We review every enquiry individually. The questions below are not a formality: as an IT security company we fall under Germany’s sector-specific investment review (§§ 60 ff. AWV), and we are bound by EU and United Nations sanctions law. Complete answers save both sides months.
- Who is investing and where the capital comes from
- Ticket size, stake and time horizon
- What you bring besides capital
From ten per cent of voting rights, an acquisition by a non-EU investor must be notified to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. That is not a reason to decline — it is a procedure with deadlines that we have to plan for together.
