Before you talk about measures, you need to know what is there. Vulnerability Scanning Basic is the smallest sensible starting point: a one-off scan of your environment, a report ordered by severity, no commitment.
The entry point

The scope
Our Vulnerability Scanning Basic is a one-time, comprehensive scan of your IT environment that is performed within 48 hours. This service is specifically designed to give you a first impression of potential security risks without tying you into a long-term subscription.
What is included
Fast implementation:: You will receive a detailed report within just 48 hours
One-time scan:No hidden costs or subscription obligations
Detailed review:Our scan uncovers common vulnerabilities in networks, systems and applications
Understandable report:You receive a clear overview of the vulnerabilities found, grouped by severity
Recommended actions:For each identified vulnerability, we offer specific remediation advice
The benefit
Attackers search automatically for the same known gaps. The scan sees what they would see. It suits:
Companies that want an initial insight into their security situation
IT teams that need an independent review of their systems
Organizations that want to take stock before making major security investments
The result
Once the scan is complete, you will receive a detailed report that includes the following:
A summary of the vulnerabilities identified
Prioritization of security risks based on their criticality
Technical details for each identified vulnerability
Practical recommendations for remedying the security gaps
The honest view
It is important to understand that the Vulnerability Scanning Basic is not a comprehensive security check. It provides a valuable initial insight, but is not a substitute:
For a holistic and ongoing security strategy, we recommend using this basic scan as a starting point and then examining further measures: Penetration Testing to verify the findings by hand, and Red Teaming for the full picture across every route in.
Continuous security monitoring
Penetration tests or red team assessments
Extensive security audits
In closing
The scan is usually completed within 48 hours and asks little of you: a sign-off, the scope, and someone to answer questions.
FAQ
A scan checks automatically against known vulnerabilities and produces an inventory. A penetration test attempts to actually exploit and chain what it finds — no tool does that on its own. The scan shows you where the weaknesses are; the test shows what an attacker could do with them.
Normally not. We agree the window and intensity in advance and exclude sensitive systems or treat them separately. Where a risk exists, we say so beforehand — not afterwards.
You receive a report with the findings, their rating and a prioritised recommendation. The data stays with you and us; it goes to nobody else. On request we walk through the report together so the order of remediation is clear.
Once is a start, not a state. Every change to your systems and every newly published vulnerability shifts the picture. Keeping an overview needs a recurring check — which is exactly what the subscription models are for.
No, and nothing does. A scan finds what is known and what is visible from outside or from the network. Misconfigured processes, abusable permissions and the chaining of several small weaknesses stay hidden from it. Which is precisely why this page has its own section on the limits.
